It seems like every week, Starbucks has created a new latte flavor. When it's the Holiday Season, all bets are off! There will be several undeniably delicious options! It is no wonder that the latest coffee sensation is the Chestnut Praline Latte!
In New Orleans, we have always been praline connoisseurs. We have a recipe for making your own delicious Chestnut Praline Latte at home!
DO-IT-YOURSELF CHESTNUT PRALINE LATTE
5 fresh roasted chestnuts
1/2 cup New Orleans Famous Pralines Original
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
2 shots of espresso
Roughly chop chestnuts and add to food processor. Over medium heat, heat the brown sugar with 1/4 water until sugar is dissolved. Pour over the chestnuts. Blend until smooth and syrupy. Strain the chestnut syrup. Prepare your espresso. Pour desired chestnut syrup into your favorite mug and add espresso. Steam milk and add the the mug. Crumble your New Orleans Famous Pralines and melt into the latte. Add espresso foam and New Orleans Famous Praline pieces for an aesthetic flair. Cheers!
